The Second District of the Republican Party of Arkansas wasn’t the only District that rejected most of the “preferred” candidates at the RNC delegate elections held last Saturday at the people’s District Conventions across the state.
None of the “preferred” candidates were elected as 2nd District RNC delegates, even though — take a look below — the list of those who filed certainly reflects a top-down view of the Party that prevails in Arkansas. (The ballots actually showed a double asterisk to mark those who are “preferred,” but that’s another topic.)
The 2nd District RNC delegates are Becky A. McHughes, Michael K. Moore, and Heather McKim. Alternates are Mark Johnson, Leslie Rutledge, and Will Rockefeller.
Those individuals not elected last Saturday get another shot at going to Milwaukee’s Republican National Convention to represent Arkansas, as delegates will also be elected at the May 18 State Committee meeting.
